Rev Hayley Ace in Stanmore Shul on Shabbat

On Shabbat 14th March, the Synagogue’s Israel Committee was delighted to welcome Reverend Hayley Ace for what proved to be a truly special occassion.

Rev. Ace joined the community for the service before delivering a keynote address and answering questions from a large and enthusiastic audience. Her talk ranged across her personal journey and faith, her work as co-founder of CAAA, Christian Zionism, the threat posed by Iran, and the sharp rise in antisemitism facing Jewish communities in Britain and beyond. The community demonstrated its gratitude for Rev Ace’s work, and in turn Hayley expressed her determination to continue standing in support and solidarity.

An ordained minister and senior leader of Lea Valley Church, Rev. Ace is widely regarded as one of the most passionate and committed non-Jewish friends of Israel in the UK. Her dedication has been recognised by the World Zionist Organisation for services to Israel, and in 2024 she became the first non-Jew to receive Jewish Care’s Woman of Distinction award.

The event was also attended by Bob Blackman MP and local councillors, a reflection of the broader significance of the morning and the strength of the relationships the committee continues to build.

Our thanks go to the Israel Committee for organising such a meaningful and well-attended event, and to Rev. Ace for giving her time so generously to our community.
