With brachot, food tastings and a fascinating shiur from Rabbi Dr Rafi Zarum, we were treated to a fabulous evening based around the question “What was the fruit that Adam and Eve ate in the Garden of Eden?” and the relevance of this question to Rosh Hashanah.
For those of you who missed it, there are at least 5 possible answers to that question and we spent the evening exploring the different explanations.
We used the discussions to focus on preparing ourselves for the upcoming yomim noraim. It was an evening that left us full of the taste of simanim (symbolic foods) and full of inspiration.
