We were honoured to host Rebbetzin Jacqueline Feldman, an experienced educator and part of the senior rabbinic team at Bushey United. Jacqueline delivered a beautiful and inspiring talk on lessons in Emmunah (faith) particularly in the aftermath of October 7, a time when the lives of Jewish people around the world were profoundly changed.
What began as a small group in her community coming together to share thoughts and reflections has since grown into a YouTube series and even a published book. At the heart of her message was the reassurance that those who have experienced trauma should not feel alone. It is okay to ask questions, to wrestle with faith, and even to say, “I don’t know.” Grappling with God and questioning are valid and meaningful parts of Judaism.
Our sincere thanks go to Kate Assor for graciously hosting 30 women in her beautiful home. The warm atmosphere was enhanced by a special treat of fresh doughnuts, snacks, fruit, and drinks, all beautifully displayed.
The evening of learning was held in the merit of Michael Wernicke z”l, whose resilience in his later years truly exemplified the message and spirit of the evening.
