Last night, we were honoured and humbled to welcome Dani Miran, father of hostage Omri Miran. Omri was last seen alive in a cynical Hamas propaganda video released on April 24th. Dani shared the story of the events of that fateful day, describing the aftermath of Oct 7th and how he together with the Hostage Forum has helped his daughter-in-law and granddaughters to survive despite their indescribable anguish.
Dani also related his experiences as an international campaigner and activist, including his encounters with governments, world leaders and even the Pope. Dani concluded with a personal story of his time fighting in the Old City of Jerusalem during the Six Day War. It was an anecdote that conveyed a message of strength, inspiration and hope – all qualities that he absolutely embodies and exudes.
