Mitzvah Day, 24th November 2024

This year, SACPS will be putting all of its efforts into another fun-filled and jam-packed event with something for everyone. You don’t need to have a particular skill, just some enthusiasm and a little bit of time (even an hour makes a difference). We have lots of different opportunities, depending on what you like doing.

These include:

• Soup making
• Sandwich making
• Serving the tea/sandwiches at the Seniors Tea
• Setting up the room for the Seniors’ Tea
• Decorating the shul with Mitzvah Day accessories
• Helping with the collectathons (and donating)
• Helping to run the children’s activities

A highlight of the day is the Seniors Tea, where 150 of our seniors are entertained by a top-quality tribute act and tuck into a delicious tea. Acts have included Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, and Buddy Holly. The event is sponsored by The Landsby, Stanmore.

We also run an interfaith gardening project at Canons Park on 27th October 2024 (absolutely no experience needed, and children welcome).  Click here for more information.
