Volunteer

In Psalm 89, King David writes: ‘For I said: ‘The world shall be built through kindness’. The philanthropic spirit goes to the very core of our identity as Jews. For some, this takes the form of charitable donations. For others, it takes on a more personal dimension: the donation of time. In giving up of our time to help others, we embody the words of the great sage Rabbi Akiva, who teaches: ‘Love your fellow like yourself’ – this is the most important principle in the entire Torah.

Here at Stanmore, we are blessed with a wonderful array of volunteers who regularly give their time, skills, and energy to assist our various projects and provide care.
